THE HOTTEST TRACK-TRANSKRIPSI

So what is the hot and hip sound track in the Malay music industry??
It will be of course the well-known Malaysia`s diva Siti Nurhaliza new album, Transkripsi. In this album, she had personally penned some songs herself. Which I would believe would be welcomed by her faithful fans. For example, the most hit song, Biarlah Rahsia. The lyrics speaks a lot of her feelings deep down inside her heart. I am sure many of you would be eager to find out. A combination of feelings can be felt as you listen to it. Most of us would surely be able to relate to it as we had gone through circumstances in lives where we felt the same way as her. At times I feel that Siti is voicing out and expressing all her inmost pain and joyfulness to her fans through these songs. I would give a perfect 10 out of 10 for this song. In this album, Siti had actually revealed to us a bit of her love life through this song. So go down now to Muzika Records at Joo Chiat Complex to get her album!!

Potential Movie

Poseidon, which started screening on 11 May, was a rather good movie. Initially, I wasn’t too keen on it as many would have thought of it as a “titanic-wannabe” but after watching it, the show left me a good impression as it wasn’t too bad after all. It was indeed thrilling and quite engaging. My dearest friends could not stopped gasping and they were touched to see the mother’s love for the son in one of the scenes. Lasting about 2 hours, it was worth a watch and definitely worth your money. By the way, it was so thrilling that our medium bucket of popcorn was such a waste as we hardly touch it.

Therefore, I give Poseidon 3.5 stars out of 5 stars.

Just You and Me

This song “You and me” is by Lifehouse. Lifehouse is a boyband which I believe some of you would have heard of, as all of you are so in touch with the media. This song is not as upbeat and it slow and easy to understand compared to the song “My Paper Heart”. As the lyrics are seriously simple. Again this song relates a lot better to guys. This song is about a guy who is attracted by a girl, and have a deep impression on her. “Everything she does is beautiful' in his eyes". He cannot explain his love for the girl. What a love!

You and me
Lifehouse

What day is it? And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive
I can't keep up and I can't back down
I've been losing so much time

Cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to lose
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you

All of the things that I want to say just aren't coming out right
I'm tripping on words
You've got my head spinning
I don't know where to go from here

Cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you

There's something about you now
I can't quite figure out
Everything she does is beautiful
Everything she does is right

Cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to lose
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you
and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you

What day is it?
And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive

Holiday is Here to STAY!

It’s the holidays again! The lucky ones will go on holidays while the others, well, the not so lucky ones get stuck in this country. For those who are stuck in Singapore you can find ways to release tension and also occupy your time like shopping!! If you don’t have that much money, you need not worry. We have done a bit of exploring and have found a few interesting shops.

We had managed to source out several shops that hold cheap bargains. Like the shop called House of Japan at Haji Lane. As the name suggests, the clothings in the shop are imported from Japan. Though most of the clothes are second hand but you need not to worry, as all of them are in good condition.. The cheapest shirt or jeans you can find there will cost a mere $5. After that, we went to the hotspot Bugis Junction where most of the items sold there are at a discount. As we all know, it is the Great Singapore Sale. So here's the chance for all of you to enjoy the cheap bargains there.
Other than that, the Great Singapore Sale also includes The Robinsons, John Little and BIG at Harbour Front.

Still cannot make up your mind? Here are some other places you might want to consider.

Little India
Most of the shops at Little India are cheap. There are a few shops that have an offer to sell 3 stuff for just $10.The name for this shop is 3 for $10. Isn`t it easy to remember. A shop there called ABC sells it’s product at a minimum of $0.55.

Looking for footwear? Why not try out a shop in jurong east regional centre.

The shop sells slippers for beach wear.Price ranges from $6.90 to $9.90 for a decent footwear, with interesting sequins and beads.

My Paper Heart

This song "My Paper Heart", I believe you can decide what this song is roughly about. This song is an upbeat, catchy song and it would surely be welcomed by you teens out there. This song is sung by this boy band known as All- American Rejects. I bet some of you have heard of this band before. Recently this band is quite popular. This song actually relates more to a guy heart and feelings. In this song, it tells how a guy who has a fragile heart in order words, he gets hurt easily . He badly wants to be with a girl he loves. He feels his life is empty without her. However, he comes to realize that it was impossible to with the girl and so he says “So bottle up old love”.

Lyrics

My Paper Heart"
by: all-American rejects

Please just don't play with me
My paper heart will bleed
This wait for destiny won't do
Be with me please I beseech you
Simple things, that make you run away
Catch you if I can

Tears fall, down your face
The taste, is something new
Something that I know
Moving on is, easiest when I am around you.

So bottle up old love,
And throw it out to sea,
Watch it away as you cry
A year has passed
The seasons go

Please just don't play with me
My paper heart will bleed
This wait for destiny won't do
Be with me please I beseech you
Simple things, that make you run away
Catch you if I can

Waiting, day to day it goes through
My lips, are sealed for her
My tongue is,
Tied to, a dream of being with you
To settle for less, is not what I prefer

So bottle up old love,
And throw it out to sea,
Watch it away as you cry
A year has passed
The seasons go

Please just don't play with me
My paper heart will bleed
This wait for destiny won't do
Be with me please I beseech you
Simple things, that make you run away
Catch you if I can

Summer time, the nights are so long
The leaves fall down,
and so do I into the arms of a friend
Winter nights
My bedside is cold, for I am gone
And spring blossoms you to me

Summer time, the nights they are so long
The leaves fall down,
and so do I into the arms of a friend
Winter nights
My bedside is cold, for I am gone
And spring blossoms you to me

X-Men 3: The Last Stand

X-men 3 : The Last Stand is definitely a show where it would be loved and welcome by us teens. I am absolutely sure that you have heard of X-men and even watched it when you were young. Now a movie, X-men The Last Stand is going to be opened very soon in cinemas on this very date-- May 26, 2006. So look out for it! The genre of this movie is an adventure cum science fiction. After seeing the trailer of this movie I can promise you that there would be lots of actions and suspense!! So what on earth is this movie about? Now on its thrid movie, a " cure " for mutancy is going to change history. For the very first time, mutants have a choice, an important choice that would affect the world shared between humans and them. It is to retain the X-factor in them, though it isolates and alienates them, or to give up their powers and become ordinary humans. The opposing outlooks of mutant leaders Charles Xavier, who publicly talks about tolerance, and Magneto, who strongly believes that only the fittest shall survive, are put to the most challenging test—starting the war to stop all wars.
Comic readers or cartoon lovers would certainly enjoy this movie and hot favourites are in it like Pheonix, Beast , Angel , Juggernaut and Colossus are present. Also , Halle Barry fans would certainly be happy that Storm would have a role expanded.

OUCH!!!

The hidden truth of PIERCING//*
The dangers of body piercing may not reach the ears of fad-driven teenagers. Many young people put their health at risk by getting pierced tongues, faces or belly button. A recent issue of Emergency Medicine explained that allergic reactions, infection, scars, injury, or jewelry rejection can complicate body piercing. Infections cause redness, swelling, and pain. If sterilized instruments are not used, there is a risk of contracting hepatitis B virus or HIV from blood left on the tools. Nose piercing can cause staphylococcal infection, and tetanus is also a risk for those not recently immunized. Body piercing, like tattooing, has become popular with some older teens. Pierced eyebrows, belly buttons, lips, tongues, noses — and multiple earrings — have become common. But body piercing can give you serious diseases, some of which may not show up for years. Doctors of Coppell said that infection is the main problem. It is because any time you puncture the skin, you're at risk for strep infection. Plus, a lot of people are allergic to the nickel in the metal that's used, so they'll get contact dermatitis in the area and develop a secondary infection. Doctors also warn that unsterilized needles may lead to liver cancer, HIV, hepatitis B, and the more serious hepatitis C. Hepatitis C is a virus that causes long-term liver disease, even cancer. It can remain hidden in your body for 10 years or more. Many people who have gotten the virus from body piercing may not realize they are sitting on an infectious time bomb until the disease strikes. The owner of a chain of body-piercing shops said that thin, low-quality metals can rip through your skin. Thin wire, like on earrings, can pull through the skin like a cheese slicer.Body-piercing jewelry made from nickel can cause bad reactions, but even gold and niobium can cause a reaction. Belly button piercing can cause great pain. You may have trouble sleeping, and clothes sometimes don't allow enough air to circulate. Moisture collects around the pierced area and makes sores slower to heal. Nipple piercing can cause infection, and if you are female it can cause extra difficulties because the piercing may burrow through your milk-producing ducts. This can create problems if you have a baby and want to breast-feed.

holiday classes

Holidays are coming, and you cannot think of any place to go? Well, have u considered taking up some courses to refine your minds even during the holidays? Here are some recommendations

The Petra Education Centre is located in of Singapore’s safest and convenient neighbourhoods. It is situated at Pandan Valley Estate at Ulu Pandan Road which lies off the vibrant central district of Holland Road. This school has various courses, like creative writing, Phonetics and Phonology (all levels), etcetera to cater to individuals’ needs. Those who are interested can browse the education centre’s website here: http://www.learn4good.com

Tired of learning the same old languages? Ever thought of learning foreign languages like Japanese language? Here’s the chance for you to do so! Aoba, the Japanese language learning centre has got standard courses which are divided to suit individuals’ level of understanding of the Japanese language. Furthermore, there are also conversational Japanese courses, Japanese “language for business” course etcetera. The prices for the courses are found in the website of Aoba Japanese language, as listed below: http://www.aoba.com.sg/courses.html

The early bird catches the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese( Random Thought )

Heres the theory.

In daily life, only the earliest people would get something good. For example only the first few who are highly qualified would get a job. The rest would be forced to find something else. Therefore, we must always be early in doing things in order for us to succeed in life.

However, there are circumstances on which being second or third is benefiting. Like the first mouse failing to get the cheese but the second one succeeds, if something bad happens, you must always learn from others mistakes instead of falling for something which is similar. So if you are deep trouble, always remember some other person also faced this problem before and you should learn from it and overcome yours.

Movie: I NOT stupid 2

Another movie that touched our soft insides, reducing us to laughter and tears again.Jack Neo certainly does it agin. Producing a comedy keenly centred on the theme of increasingly difficult relationships between parents and their children, due to a lack of communication.More than often ,parents think they undestand their children, based on the reasoning of" I-gave-birth-to-you-so-i-know" This movie makes parents think.Do they really??

A child is most vulnurable at their teens,a period where raging hormones and many thoughts are flitting in and out of their maturing mind.A single wrong move by the parents can result in a life-time of regrets.HOw well aware are parents of this fact?? i guess their are only a few=)

The plot of this story is basically something like comparing the life-styles of a middleclass family and a poor family. Despite the class difference both boys from each family share exactly the same problem.

Drop tears as we see how Jerry(played by Ashely Leong),Tom's brother (played by Shawn Lee)who both comes from a working class family and got all they need but the time spent and affection from their parents.Let your heart go all gooey seeing Jerry tell his parents that he stole money just to"buy one hour of your time to see[his] performance in the school concert." Another heart wrenching part is how Cheng Cai,(played by joshua ang ) sit with his father who is dying and hear his illiterate father finally mumble a "i love you" to him and pass away.

Multi faceted,insightful and highly entertaionig. i give "I NOT STUPID2" a thumbs up and 4 out of 5 stars=)

Asia Malaysia

In Asia there lies a land of many cultures, wonders and attractions. It consists of many races and religions where Malays, Indians, Chinese and many other people live together in peace and harmony. It is also a land of surprising extremes, where towering skyscrapers look down upon primitive longhouses. Blessed with natural wonders, it is perfect for a memorable eco-holiday. With some of the best beaches and diving spots in the world, it is ideal for holidays.

Sarawak
It is a world of Heritage Site and that is the pride of Malaysia and joy of nature lovers. The latest addition to this park is a 480m long Canopy Skywalk, called as the world’s longest tree based canopy skywalk. No trail maps are given and the only way to explore the park is to take a guided tour. It will take about an hour to complete the skywalk. From the skywalk perch, you can view the 2,376m-high Mount Mulu which is the park’s signature landmark.
An interesting fact is that the skywalk links 15 trees together via the pillared platforms and that means that no damage will be done to the trees. You can smell the fragrance of the flowers and pick up some interesting facts about rainforest trees while on the way.

Sabah
There is no argument that Sabah lives up to its reputation that it is the “land of eco-treasures”. Home to the largest orang utan sanctuary rainforests and this is the perfect place for jungle trekking, cave exploration.
The orang utan sanctuary is a 40 minute drive from downtown Sandakan. This centre is started in 1964 to adopt orphaned orang utans found at logging sites, plantations, before returning them to the wild later.
You should plan your visit to the sanctuary at 10am or 3pm, and you will be able to spot orang utans jostling around for bananas and milk. You will be able to have a close up on the orang utans but for your safety, keep clear of any direct contact.
Not only the orang utans, you can also interact with other types of wildlife by traveling further inland to the 560km-long Kinabatangan River. The lower part of the river is a wildlife sanctuary with a large population of hornbills, crocodiles and wild pigs. It is also a place for a rare breed of pro-boscis monkeys which can be recognized by their big bellies, long noses and long white tails.
When you take a boat ride through the swamps, you may have a chance to catch a glimpse of the monkeys swinging from tree to tree or looking for food.

just my random thoughts

I am seriously looking forward to the holidays! It would be an absolutely great time to go catch movies and catch up on my studies!
